Supported IP Cameras

Webcams and non-IP based cameras are not supported directly by Live Cams. These devices are instead supported through either webcamXP (on Microsoft operating systems) or EvoCam (on Mac OS). See the documentation for those products to determine compatibility.

Devices must transmit a standard MJPEG format to be used in this application. MPEG4 and H264 content cannot be streamed using the Apple iPhone SDK due to lack of RTSP support.

Other than IVC Relay Server, DVR systems are NOT SUPPORTED. Live Cams must be able to directly connect to a camera to view video. DVRs use proprietary protocols that do not follow standards and as such are not yet supported.

For more information on IVC Relay Server (or a live demo) please visit http://www.ivcco.com/

Models listed have been verified to receive and display still images and/or streaming video via Live Cams. Additional models may also work but please contact support to verify.

Some cameras also have PTZ support in Live Cams. Not all PTZ features may be supported (such as presets or auto-patrol).
